We cannot wait to get back to FIT and start class! Hope everyone has had a great break and you finished the to-do list we gave you before the end of last semester! See you soon!

Just a couple days left of the semester and we want to wish everyone luck on their last few finals they might have! Also, be safe over holidays and don’t forget about all the exciting events FITSA has planned next year! Ms. FIT, Formal, Block Party, and plenty more events are just a few that will take place in the Spring.

ALSO! We want to remind everyone that the school will be closed for holidays and that many will open after the new years. The school will be closed from December 24, 2009 through December 3, 2010. The college will re-open December 4.

We have made a little Holidays “To-Do List” for FIT students:
-Sleep in! (we know you have lost some sleep these last 2 weeks)
-Register for any last minute classes you might still need to register for
-Follow us on twitter @fitsa and keep in touch over the holidays
-Be safe and make good decisions!!!

Effective December 1, 2009, FIT will begin to offer student rides on a college van, making regular trips between Kaufman Hall (West 31st Street)and the Feldman Center (C Building on West 27th Street).  The Inter-campus Van Service will begin at 8:00 PM and continue through the night and early morning hours until 5:30 AM.
The van, driven by an FIT campus security officer,  will depart from the Feldman Center on the hour and half-hour and from Kaufman Hall on the quarter hour and three-quarter hour.  Students must show their FIT identification to access the ride.

The Inter-Campus Van Service will operate seven days a week through the end of the fall semester.  The service will be resumed during winterim and the spring semester when school is in session.

A flyer with information about this program will be posted at the security posts in the lobbies of all academic and residence hall buildings.

We hope that this service will assist students who are on the 27th Street campus late at night and need to return to their residence hall, often carrying bulky or heavy materials.

Make sure you pick up the new edition of W27! We here it is filled with lots of good features and stories.

Commuters! Make sure you are checking out the vents all day which are solely focused on Commuters! A schedule can be found on the first floor of the ‘A’ Building.

If last night wasn’t EPIC enough, make sure you come out this Thursday for the FIT vs. BMCC Basketball game. There will be performances by the Dance Team and Cheer Squad. The after-party will begin shortly after the game where there will be music, free food, and prizes! Make sure you check it out! GO TIGERS!
